When Should I Apply to Rent an Apartment?

In general: the sooner the better since we rent on a first-come, first-served basis. 

However, we typically won't know if an apartment will be available until roughly 3 months before the end of the lease (when the current tenant lets us know if they are planning to renew or not). For example, if you are interested in renting an apartment for August, we won't know what is available for August until around the end of April.
